The biggest challenge anyone faces when cycling in a new region is route finding. Now that you have found my site, your problem has now been solved. There are over 30 routes and counting, that are both long and short, that have been vetted for route aspects such as picturesque surroundings, challenging climbs, quaint towns and villages and quality of road. The routes found on this site have been partitioned into distinct regions with their own unique attributes. Each region has been colour coded as has each route found in that area. Finding a route in a region you want to visit is as easy as clicking that regions tab. It could not be easier.

Each route has its own downloadable pdf file and a related link to Ride with GPS where you can easily download the TCX or GPX file and load it onto your GPS unit. Each route also contains a detailed description helping you understand what highlights you will find and what challenges lie ahead. For your convenience all climbing data has been included. In the event of an emergency, taxi and hospital information for each region has been included as well.

Do one event or do them all. There are many wonderful cycling events scattered throughout Ontario for both the experienced cyclist and for those just getting started. Events can range anywhere from chipped races with no charitable component to Gran Fondos to full on charity rides where all proceeds are donated to the intended organization. The biggest event of the cyclng calendar is the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer. It's an epic experience and one not to be missed. Up 5,000 cyclists cover the roads from Toronto to Niagara in a weekend you're not likely to forget.

If smaller events are more your thing, no worries, take your pick, there are plenty of those to choose from as well. Cycists from all different skill levels can participate in the truly amazing experience of clipping in with complete strangers enroute to exporing the remarkable back roads of Ontario. Something new can always be found waiting around every corner. Event organizers go to great lengths to design routes that showcase the best of what the region has to offer. So go on, be bold, try something new.
